Deborah’s Oatmeal Cookies

This is my very favorite cookie recipe. 🍪

¾ Cup Butter (softened)

¾ Cup Brown Sugar (packed)

½ Cup Sugar

1 Egg

2 TBSP Water

2 Tsp Vanilla

¾ Cup Flour

¾ Tsp Baking Soda

½ Tsp Salt

1 Tsp Cinnamon

3 Cups Robin Hood Large Flake Oats

1 ½ Cups Chocolate Chips (optional)

Cream butter, sugars, egg, water and vanilla together till light and fluffy. Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon and add to the creamed mixture. Mix well then add oats till blended. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Makes about 30 cookies. Store in an air tight container and freeze.
